1669 Yorkshire W.338 Skipton, Richard Dixon, Halfpenny Token, N.6069
A nice example of this scarce 17th century penny token. Worn but reasonably well detailed. Ex Stephen Wrenn Collection, Noonans 30/9/25, lot 154 and previously found when the Old Star Hotel, Ilkley, was demolished in July 1905. Presented with Wrenn’s old ticket.

R: OF SKIPTON 1668 around cable inner circle D over RR within.
This token is listed in Dickinson as Yorkshire 338 and in Norweb as N.6069. I would grade this token About Fine (Sheldon F15). I have provided high-resolution close up photos so you can decide on a grade for yourself.
For uncertified coins I provide a grading opinion using both the UK descriptive system and the Sheldon scale (based on ANA Grading Standards and/or PCGS Photograde) which will be better known to my US customers. I offer a grading opinion as a courtesy, but please examine the high resolution close up photos carefully and decide on a grade for yourself.
