Description
1667 Surrey W.67, Epsom, Elizabeth Amus, Halfpenny Token, N.4570, E.76
A nice example of this scarcer 17th century tavern token. One of only two issuers for this location. Worn but reasonably well detailed.
O: ELIZABETH AMVS AT THE around bust of Charles II.
R: IN EBISHAM 1667 around beaded inner circle, HER HALF PENY within.
This token is listed in Dickinson as Surrey W.67 and in Norweb as N.4570 and in Everson as E.76. I would grade this token Good Fine (Sheldon VF35). I have provided high-resolution close up photos so you can decide on a grade for yourself.
For uncertified coins I provide a grading opinion using both the UK descriptive system and the Sheldon scale (based on ANA Grading Standards and/or PCGS Photograde) which will be better known to my US customers. I offer a grading opinion as a courtesy, but please examine the high resolution close up photos carefully and decide on a grade for yourself.
