A 17th century token issued by a Dover mercer. Worn but with some detail remaining.
O: THOMAS FIDG AT THE around cable inner circle, Mercer’s Arms within.
R: MAYDEN HEAD IN DOVER around cable inner circle, F over TM within.
This token is listed in Dickinson as Kent 213 and in Norweb as N.2540. I would grade this token Very Good (Sheldon F12). I have provided high-resolution close up photos so you can decide on a grade for yourself.
