1667 Essex W.29, Bocking, Thomas Merrill, Halfpenny Token, N.1097
A nice example of this 17th century token. Worn but well detailed.
O: THOMAS MERILL around beaded inner circle, TM within.
R: IN BOCKING 1667 around beaded inner circle, HIS HALF PENY within.
This token is listed in Dickinson as Essex 29 and in Norweb as N.1097. I would grade this token Fine (Sheldon VF20). I have provided high-resolution close up photos so you can decide on a grade for yourself.
