Description
1653 Buckinghamshire W.171, Wycombe, Richard Lucas, Farthing Token, N.357
A nice 17th century token which is much nicer than the Norweb specimen. Worn and struck on a bar end but reasonably well detailed.
O: RICHARD LVCAS around lion with rod.
R: IN WICKHAM 1653 around cable inner circle, L over RD within.
This token is listed in Dickinson as Buckinghamshire 171 and in Norweb as N.357. I would grade this token Good Fine (Sheldon VF35). I have provided high-resolution close up photos so you can decide on a grade for yourself.
For uncertified coins I provide a grading opinion using both the UK descriptive system and the Sheldon scale (based on ANA Grading Standards and/or PCGS Photograde) which will be better known to my US customers. I offer a grading opinion as a courtesy, but please examine the high resolution close up photos carefully and decide on a grade for yourself.
