A nice example of this scarce type. Bust 3 with realistic hair, pupils to eyes, crown with only outer arch jewelled, saltire stops B/B, lettering F. Lightly worn and reasonably well detailed. Weight 2.63g. Ex Carlyon-Britton and Lingford. Accompanied by old Lingford and Seaby tickets (the latter in the hand of C A Whitton for the July 1949 Seaby Coin & Medal Bulletin).

R: Long cross fourchée, trefoil of pellets in angles. POSVI DEV A DIVTOR E MEV / CIVITAS LONDON.
