1792 Cheshire D&H 67a, Macclesfield, Charles Roe Halfpenny Conder Token

 

A nice example of this rare 18th century Conder token. Worn but reasonably well detailed. Ex Baldwin's vault.

 

O: Bust of Charles Roe.

R: A female seated by a windlass from which a rope depends, MACCLESFIELD HALFPENNY. Ex: 1792.

E: PAYABLE AT ANGLESEY LIVERPOOL OR CONGLETON.

 

This token is listed in Dalton & Hamer as Cheshire 67a and is rated R=Rare. I would grade this token Fine (Sheldon VF30). I have provided high-resolution close up photos so you can decide on a grade for yourself.
